These individuals are celebrating a massacre that relief organizations suspect claimed the lives of more than thousands of people in the Sudan's urban center of el-Fasher last month.

A Community Severed from the Outside

After maintaining the community under blockade for approximately two years, from August the RSF advanced to consolidate its position and prevent access for the leftover residents.

Orbital photography demonstrate that troops commenced to erect a enormous sand wall - a built-up sand barrier - around the perimeter of the city, sealing off access routes and halting humanitarian assistance.
