Far-Right Ex- Lawmaker J.A. Kast Elected as Chile's Next Leader.
In a decisive final ballot, far-right politician José Antonio Kast has clinched the presidency in Chile.
A Clear-Cut Victory
With more than 99% of votes tallied, Kast garnered 58.17% of the vote, overcoming leftist contender Jeannette Jara, who earned 41.83%.
This marks Kast's third attempt at the presidency, having earlier been defeated by the current president, Gabriel Boric, in the 2021 final vote.
Platform Focused On Law and Order and Migration
