Eurovision Was Once a Campy Joy – But It Has Transformed Into a Calculated Tool to Gloss Over Warfare.

The Contest Continues Against a Backdrop of Profound Human Cost
Eurovision marks seven decades next year – roughly two times the projected longevity of someone in Gaza at present. The event will proceed, but it will find it impossible to reclaim the camp joy it historically embodied. A competition that once promoted harmony has transformed into a cynical way to whitewash war.
